Partnership to Defend Public Services Legal Challenge

The Pallister Government has passed the Public Services Sustainability Act, a law that fundamentally undermines collective bargaining rights. It's unfair and it's unconstitutional.

In response, the MFL and over 25 other labour bodies have created the Partnership to Defend Public Services and are fighting this law in court.

The law unilaterally freezes the wages of over 120,000 hardworking Manitobans who provide the services that we all count on. Premier Brian Pallister may not think that the collective bargaining rights of Manitoban workers matter, but we do.

You can send Premier Pallister a message that Manitoba’s public-sector workers deserve to be treated fairly, and that wages should be negotiated at the bargaining table, not dictated through the heavy hand of unconstitutional legislation.
